What’s new

The number of Pokemon you can catch is 649, plus some more from Gen VI.
No waiting to get running shoes. You get to run at the start of the freaking game. Why do you need special shoes to run? Also can run indoors.
HMs are removed.
To use the first HM Rock Smash, you only need to have your starter in the party.
Some movesets are updated to the Pokemon Black 2/White 2 or Pokemon X/Y.
